Future use public consultation ends

May 30th 2016: The public consultation regarding the future use of the Kerdiffstown landfill closed on May 25th and the project team are currently assessing submissions made.

The proposed end-use of the site must be decided at an early date in order to inform the 'Environmental Impact Assessment' (EIA). This EIA must be submitted to both An Bord Pleanála and the Environmental Protection Agency as part of the formal consent stage for the remediation of the landfill site and so is a critical step in progressing the project.  The project team hope to hold a Public Information day in the coming months to announce the future use of the site, which will be outlined in detail as part of the EIA.

Although the consultation on the future use is closed, the Project Team are always keen to hear from the public about any concerns they have or feedback they wish to give about the project.
